Storm damage, safety hazards, old and dying or too big! These are just a few legitimate reasons for removing a tree. Trees add tremendous value to property, ask any Real Estate agent. Trees are a valuable part of a healthy ecosystem; we at BERRY BROS. would consider removing a tree as the absolute last resort. We are witness to millions of tons of trees ending up in our landfills every year, something we consider a huge waste of renewable resources!  

Today we must be conscious of our environment.
At BERRY BROS. we have a Tree Recycling program in effect.
We work with local Arborists and Tree Removal Companies
with the goal of "Harvesting" as many viable and salvageable Tree products as we can.
If properly processed, many local "Landscape" Trees can be recycled
as superior Firewood, which in turn, lessens the impact on our Landfills.
In the past, processing certain Trees posed a problem being turned into a useable product, as the equipment to do so had not yet been available.
At BERRY BROS. we made a commitment to do our part in recycling,
we invested in the right equipment and we are providing the knowledge and man-power to do the job right!

As an added note: Should you chose to process your own wood, something we recommend rather than hauling it to the dump, please be aware of the following: Logs must be split or sawn lengthwise to completely dry out. Only burn well seasoned wood, green wood adds to pollution. Some wood types are extremely difficult to split, be careful.It is recommended by us to recycle the following tree types: Pecan, Silk Oak, Citrus, Mesquite, Ash, Carob, and Mulberry, several varieties of Eucalyptus, the Mediterranean and Syrian Pines including Aleppo, Goldwater, Canary Island etc. plus many more too numerous to mention (please call for info).

 Trees we DO NOT recommend for recycling as firewood include Salt Cedar, any Palm (actually a grass), Oleander, Bottle Tree, Palo Verde and a short list of others, (again call us with questions).
